Fuel the Cure is a marketing and education partner of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Nevada Chapter. The organization has been created by Rusty Stevens and Christy Thom to connect the JDRF mission of finding a cure for type 1 diabetes with adults and children utilizing the powerful attraction of motorsports and community partners. Unlike other highly visible not for profit organizations, the JDRF dedicates over 80% of all revenue directly to research making the organization volunteer heavy and staff lean. We felt a dedicated marketing extension of the JDRF would competitively and aggressively achieve funding a cure on a national scale.

As a partner of the JDRF, Fuel the Cure supports JDRF Nevada Chapter functions through fundraising efforts and enlisting community involvement. Fuel the Cure has created and will begin implementation of our educational and training program designed to reach elementary, middle and high school students. The program focuses on diabetes awareness, prevention and treatment. With JDRF support in the medical and technical areas of the program Fuel the Cure is able to reach significantly larger audiences with the support of our professional race teams and enthusiasts.
